Self-explanatory 2015 album of material recorded as soundtracks for films by Luke Fowler, Christian Jaccard and Marie-Christine Navarro, dividing this into three chapters with distinct characters. Frequent collaborator Jean-Luc Guionnet also participates in the latter third with processed organ recordings.
At times utterly alien and disorienting, at others panoramic and naturalistic, but always expertly recorded and edited, Eric La Casa's work here is ultimately threaded by its sharp sense of narration and timing. Best enjoyed with high quality headphones, and a great pick to start with if you're looking for the more composed side of his recent work.
